Philip Batton, Liberty's tenor singer, was raised in a minister's home in a very musical family. His father pastored several churches throughout the Southwestern states as well as the Northwest. His parents sang often for revivals and campmeetings. Philip's father was a prolific songwriter and had several songs published and recorded, including one by the late cowboy singer, Rex Allen. Philip began singing publicly with his seven siblings when he was around five years old.  Even then, he carried the harmony part. He has been singing tenor ever since. Philip's desire is to give glory to God through music and to always follow the Lord's leading.  Prior to joining Liberty, Philip sang with Joyful Sound and Homeland Harmony Quartet.   He is married to Susie, who is very supportive and backs him in this ministry endeavor. They live in Caldwell, Idaho.  Philip has one son, Philip G.
